November 18-19, 2013 the international conference EAOKO "Monitoring school education - prospects for intercountry cooperation" was held in Minsk. The conference was organized by EAOKO together with the National Institute of Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
About 80 education system specialists from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and the Czech Republic took part in this event.
Within the framework of the seminar "Assessment of the information and communication literacy of graduates of a primary school: tools, administration, use of results" Svetlana Avdeeva and Vyacheslav Suleymanov presented preliminary results of a joint Belarusian-Russian study conducted in October 2013 in schools in Minsk and the Gomel region. The presentation of the developed tools and the results of assessing the IC literacy of ninth-graders in different countries aroused great interest of the conference participants.
