The Republican State Enterprise "National Testing Center" of Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan held II International research-to-practice conference "Pedagogical Measurement: Best Practice and Development Prospects." on September, 29-30.
The conference was devoted to assessing the education quality, the practical implementation of the theoretical provisions of pedagogical measurements, demonstrating the achievements of world best practices and was focuced on folloing points:
1. The tool for assessing the educational results: the content of assignments. the assessment of assignments quality, prospects for assignments improvement.
2. The results of exams and monitoring: the interpritation and the use for management decisions in order to improve the quality of education.
3. The IC literasy assessment as a challenge of the day for the level of students preparedness.
4. Building a culture of assessing as a current trend in preparation of theaching staff as part of the modernization of society.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, leading scientists, experts in the field of pedagogical measurements, testology, representatives of higher educational institutions, academic institutions, as well as teachers and innovators in the field of assessing the quality of education, developers and experts of assessment tasks.
Within the framework of the practical section, the report "ICL Test Tool. The assessment of information and communication literacy of students and the use of its results at the national and regional level" was presented by Ksenia Tarasova, PhD in Pedagogy, National Training Foundation expert.
The presentation was devoted to the ICL Test Tool, developed by the NTF, and the possibility of using it to measure one of the most important meta-subject results of mastering the basic general education program of basic general education - “formation and development of literacy in the field of using information and communication technologies”.
